Kamakurabori is a charming traditional handicraft with its exquisite combination of textured carving and colored lacquer.
The museum is the only facility that brings together in one place Kamakurabori dating from the Muromachi period to the present. Do visit to see the richly individual Kamakurabori carvings—at times solemn, at times gorgeous, at times modest. There is a shop and café on the ground floor where you can browse the original merchandise or sample tea and sweets served on Kamakurabori dishes.
